From the artist: "I love the process of painting. The hope that you can convey the feelings the scene in your head produced. I'm less concerned about light and shadow and composition than I am about telling the story that entered my mind when I saw the scene. Will the infinite range of stories and feelings survive being reduced to a finite rectangle of paper slathered with paint? Sometimes yes - sometimes no."
