Happy September from Art in the Valley! Mike and I are excited for fall. There's no better time to get outside and enjoy nature, paint outside, and visit local shops in your community for some fun gifts and to support small businesses.
For our Front Royal, VA friends, Mike and I have art prints available at Inklings. Along with art from us (and other amazing artists), you can shop for handmade soaps, jewelry, bags, clothing, and more fabulous gifts. Brooke, the owner, curates a selection of special items you can't find in those big box stores. Check out her shop at 205 E. Main Street in Front Royal and tell her we sent you.
For our Pittsburgh friends, Tiffany has some prints and originals available at Small Mall, located at 5300 Butler Street. Small Mall sells work by Pittsburgh area artists, designers, and makers. When you shop at Small Mall, you are supporting local, living artists. Plus, they change up the artwork seasonally, so there's always something fresh in the shop. Stop by and say hello.
If you're not local to one of these awesome shops, get outside in this beautiful fall weather and explore your own neighborhood small businesses. Plus, for all those artistically inclined, it's the season for plein air painting, outdoor sketching, and lots of fall color.
