Happy Spring everyone! It's been a while since I updated the blog. Over the winter Mike and I shoveled a lot of snow in Pittsburgh, and we are thankful the warm weather is finally here. Mike went out painting over the winter. Here is a look at one of his plein air paintings.
I've been working on some new paper sculptures, and applying to different artist opportunities. Last year, I had two pieces chosen for the Three Rivers Arts Festival juried show. Because of the pandemic, that show was moved online. However, this year the festival will be in person, and I'm excited to say that those two artworks will be shown at the festival this year.
I also have two pieces, "Phoenix" and "Hera's Best," in the current juried exhibit "Women's Work" at You Are Here Gallery in Jeannette, PA. "Phoenix" was given the Juror Award, which included a small cash prize. Thank you to juror Felecia Brice McFail for the award!
